A Perfect Step Forward: Victory, Personal Best & Eyes on What’s Next

Some days everything just comes together — and today was one of those days.

At the Hivernia Cup in Mechelen, I was able to deliver one of my strongest performances so far. Not only did I take the win, but I also achieved a new personal best of 40.35. Moments like these are special, because they reflect the hard work, consistency, and belief that go into every training session.

Beyond the result itself, this performance had an important purpose. With this mark, I secured the 18 points I needed for qualification for the Belgian Championships 2026. That milestone has been a clear goal, and reaching it gives me both confidence and motivation for what lies ahead.

What makes this even more valuable is the timing. This competition was the perfect final test before the Francophone Championships this Friday. It allowed me to fine-tune my rhythm, sharpen my focus, and step into the next competition with a strong mindset.

But more than times and rankings, days like this remind me why I love what I do. The process, the small improvements, the setbacks, and the breakthroughs — they all build toward moments like this.

Now, the focus shifts forward. There’s still more to come, and I’m ready to keep pushing.
